As of July 23, 2026, SGF has approved $81,130 in summer camp scholarships to enable 40 children to attend a total of 138 weeks of summer camp (91 of which are in overnight camps). Thus far, our “2026 kids” are headed for a great time in four different camps (Agassiz Village, Building Bridges Through Music’s Summer Smart Education Through Music Program in Lynn, MA, Winona Camps for Boys in Bridgton, Maine and the Waltham YMCA summer camp).

To date, SGF has awarded a grand total of $1,605,484.67 in summer camp scholarships to 859 children. That means we have crossed (and then some) a major threshold, having awarded well over a million and a half dollars since we began in 2001! Not so shabby for a tiny little all-volunteer charity with no paid staff and no fixed office space!
